Update from our June tourism lunch

On Tuesday 13 June 2017 we had the honour and great pleasure of visiting French Toast for our monthly Tourism Networking Lunch.

This is one of Hartbeespoort’s most unique venues. Owner Paul Kruger explained to us how it all started as a movie set for the movie French Toast, which takes place in both South Africa and Paris, France. Nowadays this Koffie Kafee is a special place to meet with friends, family, business relations and especially for romance.

HTA Chairman Iain Gunn once again highlighted that the Tourism Association does not advertise specific products. The town is our product and we promote Harties to get more visitors into the area. Then it is up to the different properties to attract these visitors to their businesses.

Karen van Huizen spoke to us about the new development where Get It Magazine Hartbeespoort is starting to work together with other Get It’s. Please contact her on karen@kormorant.co.za for more info and rates to advertise in the Pretoria, Johannesburg and Rustenburg Get It Magazines.

During a delicious typical French Toast style lunch, Chris Grosch hosted a rewarding tombola. Members were asked for their business cards and we had some very happy winners after the lucky draw. Thank you to everyone who sponsored prizes! Please contact chris@airboatafrika.com if you wish to sponsor prizes for the next tombola’s in September and our Christmas Lunch.

A big thank you to Paul and his team for allowing us to use this wonderful venue for the June lunch and for making us feel very welcome!
